De leider van de befaamde Preservation Hall Jazz Band van New Orleans probeert de droom van zijn overleden vader te vervullen. Hij doet dat door terug te keren naar de oevers van Cuba terwijl hij op zoek gaat naar de inheemse muziek die aan de New Orleans Jazz de geboorte gaf. “A Tuba to Cuba” viert de triomf van de menselijke geest, uitgedrukt in de universele taal van de muziek.
