Deze debuutfilm van Milo? Forman bevat twee aktes. De eerste handelt over twee blaas-ensembles, waarvan vooral de jongere spelers het belang van muziek als kunst moeten leren erkennen en waarderen. De tweede akte handelt over een talentenjacht voor meisjes. De deelnemers moeten een liedje zingen (veelal Tsjechoslowaakse rock'n'roll en twist) voor een jury die bepaalt of het slechts een liedje zingen was of puur talent.
