Plot

Nadat Bea Pullman's echtgenoot is overleden, hebben Bea en haar dochter Jessie het financieel erg moeilijk. Dan klopt Delilah Johnson bij hen aan die aanbiedt als huishoudster te werken in ruil voor een woonruimte voor haar en haar dochter. Delilah blijkt fantastische pannekoeken te kunnen maken en met haar recept worden Delilah en Bea rijk. Echter raken ze steeds meer vervreemd van hun dochters die ook zo hun problemen hebben.
