George Gattling is een automonteur van middelbare leeftijd, die woont bij zijn zus Precious en diens autistische zoon Fred. Op een dag vindt George samen met Fred een wilde havik en wil deze proberen te trainen. Hij wil alles proberen om deze vogel niet dood te laten gaan, zoals bij zijn vorige projecten, en haalt alles uit de kast om de training succesvol te laten verlopen.
