De 20-jarige Ivy gaat tijdens de zomervakantie naar huis om daar een lange zomer vooral niets te doen. Als haar beste vriend Al geen plek heeft om te verblijven, vraagt ze aan haar moeder of Al bij haar mag logeren. Als ze samen meer tijd doorbrengen groeit hun vriendschap terwijl Ivy's vriendje steeds meer afstand neemt. Hoewel de emoties onderhuids hoog op lopen blijft Ivy er redelijk rustig onder tot dat haar gevoelens de overhand nemen.
