Nadat Bridget (Jaclyn Smith) 'per ongeluk' haar man doodschiet is de politie tevreden met haar verklaring, totdat ze ontdekken dat haar eerste man op dezelfde manier om het leven is gekomen. Langzaam wordt duidelijk dat onder het deugdzame uiterlijk van Bridget een heel ander persoon schuilgaat, die alleen het beste wil voor zichzelf en daarvoor bereid is om over lijken te gaan.
