Zoë is een alleenstaande moeder die met vier kinderen in Dartford woont. Ze is arm en kan amper rondkomen. Op een dag komt ze haar ex-vriend tegen die met haar op date wil. Ze schaamt zich voor zichzelf en haar situatie en begint te liegen dat ze een babysitter is, terwijl ze zich klaarmaakt voor haar eerste date in jaren.
