Na een apocalyps van twijfelachtige oorsprong woont soldaat James Conroy in een verlaten hut aan de voet van een radiotoren. Wanneer Conroy eindelijk contact opneemt met Garry Freeman, gestrand in een ruimtestation, moeten ze leren samenwerken als ze zichzelf en misschien wel de hele beschaving willen redden.
