Johnny Marco is een bad boy en acteur, die leeft in het hotel Chateau Marmont in Hollywood. Zijn dagen zijn een waas van drank, vrouwen en snelle auto's. Johnny heeft de grip op zijn ware zelf verloren in de nepwereld van beroemdheden. Maar dan staat zijn elfjarige dochter Cleo ineens op de stoep. Zijn connectie met de werkelijke wereld begint terug te keren in haar aanwezigheid.
