Parijs 1913, Coco Chanel is devoot aan haar werk en haar knappe minnaar, de rijke Arthur 'Boy' Capel. Op een avond woont ze een concert bij van Igor Stravinsky in het Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, de première van zijn Le Sacre du Printemps. Coco is overweldigd, maar de muziek is te revolutionair voor het grote publiek en Stravinsky wordt weggehoond. Zeven jaar later: Chanel is immens verdrietig over het overlijden van Boy Capel en ontmoet Stravinsky opnieuw. Hij is nu een straatarme vluchteling van de Russische Revolutie.
