Toen Heather en Sarah Ann opgroeiden, vertelden ze elkaar elk geheim. Maar op de laatste dag van de middelbare school verliet Heather hun stadje met de belofte nooit meer terug te keren. Lange tijd later wordt ze echter weer gedwongen terug te keren als haar vader ziek wordt. Heather, nu een documentairemaakster, wordt daarnaast onder druk gezet om Sarah Anns huwelijksvideo te filmen. Ze is ervan overtuigd dat zij en de bruid niets met elkaar gemeen hebben, maar wanneer de grote dag nadert, ontdekt Heather dat mensen niet zijn wat ze lijken.
