Charmant verhaal over Murphy's eerste kennismaking met het leven in de grote stad, met de jonge, lieve Sandra Dee op sleeptouw. Ze ontvlucht haar familie, die haar probeerde te ruilen voor een aantal van Murphy's beverhuiden, en gaat samen met de onwillige Murphy mee. Ze komen in de stad in allerlei problemen terecht en Murphy moet de sheriff neerschieten om Dee te redden van haar baan als dancehall-meisje.
Nee, helaas is The Wild and the Innocent nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
