Op haar achttiende verjaardag krijgt Dunya van haar ouders te horen dat ze wordt uitgehuwelijkt aan een Marokkaanse achterneef en ze vertrekt naar Marokko om hem te ontmoeten. Tegelijkertijd raakt Desie zwanger en besluit ze op zoek te gaan naar haar echte vader die in Marokko woont. Desie gaat in Marokko op bezoek bij Dunya en samen maken ze een bijzondere reis door Marokko.
