De film draait om een spelshow waarin de deelnemers hun levens beëindigen voor het vermaak van het publiek. Adam Rogers (Duhamel) is de gastheer van het programma die er alles aan doet om de kijkcijfers te zien rijzen, dit omdat hij anders zijn baas Ilana Katz (Janssen) op zijn nek krijgt. Mason Washington, een familieman die moeite heeft om voor zijn gezinsleden te zorgen besluit zich aan te melden voor de show.
