Frida, een jonge Iraans-Amerikaanse drop-out keert terug om haar vader te helpen bij het runnen van het familierestaurant. Tom Hunt, een makelaar, keert ook terug naar zijn geboortedorp, samen met zijn vriend, Lance, om eindelijk uit de kast te komen tegen zijn moeder. Als Frida, Tom en Lance dan eindelijk bezig zijn hun levens te veranderen, worden ze echter geconfronteerd met een grotere uitdaging; er breekt een virus uit, waardoor iedereen een zombie wordt.
