Professor Harry Beckmeyer is gefascineerd door het feit dat er een vreemd ras - een soort wolfachtige mensen - is gesignaleerd in Australië. Hij gaat op zoek naar de wezens en komt ze al snel op het spoor via Jerboa, een jongedame die op de vlucht is en verliefd is geworden op Donny. De twee willen het liefst samen zijn, maar worden opgejaagd door de overheid.
