Raymond Derek is een opkomende jonge politicus die alles lijkt te hebben. Een geweldige carrière, een vrouw, vrienden en een duur huis. Maar dat verandert allemaal als hij de sexy cabaretier Angie tegenkomt. De twee beginnen een stomende affaire totdat de pers erachter komt en het voorpaginanieuws wordt. Terwijl zijn leven in stukken valt, proberen Raymond en Angie samen een leven op te bouwen, maar sommige dingen waren gewoon niet bedoeld om lang mee te gaan.
