Paul Snider biedt, als partner en manager, Dorothy Stratten de kans aan om playmate van het jaar te worden. Hiermee lanceert hij de tragische carriere van Stratten. Hij laat toe dat andere haar misbruiken, waarmee hij veel geld verdient. Maar wat hij niet beseft is dat dit uiteindelijk zijn ondergang zal gaan worden.
