Vijf oudere mannen vormen een muziekgroep en rennen weg uit het verpleeghuis waar ze verblijven in de hoop voor publiek te kunnen spelen. Ze confronteren de stad, de autoriteiten van het verpleeghuis, de politie en al diegenen die hun droom willen vernietigen, die uiteindelijk werkelijkheid wordt wanneer ze worden gecontracteerd om als muzikale achtergrond te dienen voor strippers van een tweederangs cabaret.
