Ergens in een klein dorpje wordt een vrouw beschuldigd van hekserij en voor de ogen van haar dochtertje op de brandstapel gegooid. Zeventien jaar later is het meisje volwassen en heeft ze recht op de erfenis van haar moeder. Helaas besluit haar moeder net op dat moment uit de dood te herrijzen en bezit te nemen van het lichaam van haar dochter.
