Het Vancouver Asahi honkbalteam bestaat uit tweede generatie Japanse immigranten in Canada. Hun team speelt in de lokale amateurcompetitie. Vanwege hun 'fair play' raakt het team populair, maar men worstelt tegelijkertijd met discriminatie en armoede in hun normale leven.
