Oom Fester wordt al 25 jaar vermist. Een geruïneerde advocaat ontdekt dit en stelt een nep-oom voor als de lang vermiste Fester om zo in het bezit te komen van het vermogen van de familie. Deze nep-oom past zich al snel aan aan het macabere leventje van de familie Addams, maar het dochtertje van de familie vertrouwt het niet helemaal.
