Als er in zijn land een revolutie uitbreekt, vlucht koning Shahdov naar New York. Omdat hij geen geld bezit, gaat hij in tv-reclames spelen. Dan ontmoet hij een kind van communistische ouders, waardoor Shahdov zelf van communisme verdacht wordt, wat hem in de problemen brengt.
