Een raadselachtige vreemdeling wordt op een nacht opgesloten in een cel van een afgelegen politiebureau. Vanuit zijn cel begint de charismatische eenling langzaam de geest van zijn medegevangenen en die van de politie over te nemen. De enige die hem lijkt te kunnen weerstaan is de beginnende agent Rachel.
