Een gevluchte Sovjet-wetenschapper arriveert op een woestijnluchthaven met geheime documenten, maar wordt aangevallen door een paar KGB-moordenaars en ontsnapt de woestijn in, waar hij binnen het bereik van een Amerikaanse kernproef komt en wordt getransformeerd in een dwaas moordbeest.
