Padmé Amidala, die haar ambtstermijn als koningin van Naboo er op heeft zitten en nu een plaats in de senaat inneemt, ontsnapt tot tweemaal toe ternauwernood aan een aanslag op haar leven. Jedi-meester Obi Wan Kenobi's leerling Anakin krijgt de taak om haar te beschermen, en er begint iets moois te bloeien tussen de twee. Ondertussen onderzoekt Obi Wan de verbanden tussen de moordaanslagen, een separatistische beweging onder leiding van voormalig Jedi Count Dooku, en de bouw van een kloon-leger op een afgelegen planeet.
Nee, helaas is Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
