John Reed is een links-radicale journalist ten tijde van de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Tijdens een spreekbeurt ontmoet hij de feministe Louise Bryant, die getrouwd is met een saaie tandarts. Louise laat haar man in de steek en trekt met Reed naar Greenwich Village in New York, waar ze in radicale linkse kringen terecht komt.
Nee, helaas is Reds nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
