Yonkers Joe is een ervaren gokker en oplichter die net zo achteloos casino's bedriegt tijdens craps als hij een doodnormale man zijn hardverdiende geld afneemt. Hij krijgt te maken met zijn zoon, een beginnende twintiger die lijdt aan het Down-syndroom, die hij nauwelijks heeft gekend. Aanvankelijk zit de jongeman hem vooral in de weg en probeert hij hem terug in een instelling te krijgen, maar er groeit na verloop van tijd zowaar een band tussen de twee.
Nee, helaas is Yonkers Joe nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
