Casey is een veertienjarig ouderloos straatkind. Ze wordt opgevoed door voogden, maar is erg eigenwijs en doet meestal haar eigen zin. Op een dag wordt ze door een plaatselijke detective meegenomen naar een chique hotelkamer en voorgesteld aan een zekere Harry, een geheimzinnige, wat sinistere Engelsman. Die beweert dat Casey eigenlijk niemand minder is dan lady Margaret Courtney, de vierde markiezin van Candleshoe, een groot domein in de buurt van Londen.
Nee, helaas is Candleshoe nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
