Patty Myers is een jonge vrouw die het niet zo serieus neemt met het geloof. Haar vriendin en een dominee waarschuwen haar dat Christus binnenkort alle gelovigen zal opnemen. Ondertussen trouwt Patty met een christelijke man. Ze is gelukkig en heeft geen enkele reden om haar geloof te verdiepen. Op een dag is haar man nergens meer te vinden, het scheerapparaat hangt ratelend in de douche. Op de radio zijn berichten te horen dat er miljoenen mensen verdwenen zijn.
