Dan Bartlett is een verliefde tiener die het vliegtuig mist naar de Caribische eilanden. Zijn vriendin Lori en haar vader Bill zijn daar op een tropische vakantie en hij zou hen achterna reizen. Toch wil hij er heen, en dat lukt met hulp van enkele marijuana-smokkelaars. Het blijkt pas het begin van een reis vol problemen.
