Een meisje wordt opgenomen in een stam van Neanderthalers nadat ze haar ouders is verloren door een aardbeving. Als ze volwassen is geworden te midden van de wrede praktijken van de stam, breekt ze de regels omdat ze op zoek gaat naar een beter leven voor zichzelf.
