Jazz Ramsey is de trotse trainer van Zeus, een K9-hond die tevens haar beste vriend is. Per toeval wordt tijdens een demonstratie op een school de overblijfselen van een lichaam ontdekt, waarna Jazz en Zeus de zaak moeten onderzoeken. Ze krijgen hierbij hulp van rechercheur Nick, de ex-vriend van Jazz.
