Claire Clauster is de lijm die haar chaotische, liefdevolle gezin bijeenhoudt tijdens de feestdagen. Maar dit jaar, na het plannen van een speciaal uitje voor hen, laten ze haar per ongeluk alleen thuis. Ze is er klaar mee, voelt zich ondergewaardeerd en gaat zelf op avontuur.
