Sarah weet haar vrienden Isaac, Jackie en Horacio te overtuigen mee te werken aan haar milieu-documentaire. Ze reizen hiervoor naar het Peruaanse woud en een mijnstadje, maar worden door de lokale inwoners gewaarschuwd van dit gebied weg te blijven. Ze leven in angst voor een entiteit die verschillende vormen kan aannemen en die de plek heeft opgeëist. De filmmakers negeren hun oproep en begeven zich naar het verboden gebied.
