Odete wil een kind van Aberto maar als ze haar verlangen uitspreekt, neemt Alberto het hazenpad. En er zijn Rui en Pedro, een passioneel verliefd koppel. Maar Rui verliest het leven bij een auto-ongeluk en Pedro verliest daardoor alle zin in zijn leven. Op de één of andere manier kruisen Odete's en Pedro's wegen elkaar.
