Twee jonge vrouwen die in een strenge, fundamentalistische, polygame samenleving leven, Kaidence en Galilea, zijn aan elkaar gebonden, onder hetzelfde dak, in hetzelfde huwelijk, terwijl ze enge, nieuwe, opwindende gevoelens voor elkaar ontwikkelen. In een harde, regressieve, waakzame gemeenschap waar queer zijn als een doodzonde wordt beschouwd, beginnen ze te denken aan het achterlaten van het enige leven dat ze ooit hebben gekend.
