Na een bezoek van een mysterieuze femme fatale raakt rechercheur Francis Alban verwikkeld in een vermiste personenzaak waarin niet alles is wat het lijkt. Het spoor leidt haar naar een seriemoordenaar uit de jaren zestig die nooit is gepakt en een gewelddadige gangster.
