Deze concertfilm vertelt het verhaal van de Renaissance World Tour, vanaf het eerste begin, tot de eerste show in Stockholm en de laatste show in Kansas City. Het gaat over Beyoncé's intentie, haar harde werken, de betrokkenheid bij elk aspect van de productie, haar creatieve geest en het doel om een nalatenschap te creëren en haar vak te beheersen. In de film zitten hoogtepunten van de tour, evenals documentaire fragmenten die de ontwikkeling van de show en het album zien.
