Roy Munson is een professionele bowler die probeert een groep groentjes op te lichten door zich ook als groentje voor te doen. Als zijn slachtoffers hier achterkomen, verminken ze zijn werphand zo erg dat deze geamputeerd moet worden en Roy verder moet met een haak als hand. Roy’s hele leven raakt in het slop, totdat hij Ishmael tegenkomt, die een aardig potje kan bowlen.
