Gus Orviston (Zach Gilford), een jongeman met een passie voor vissen, verlaat de stad en ruilt deze in voor de wildernis. Hij besluit te gaan vissen, aan een kleine rivier in de bossen, om daar eindelijk zijn leven te ontvluchten en zichzelf te vinden.
