Op aandringen van haar baas keert journaliste Ingrid terug naar haar ouderlijk huis wanneer verschillende kinderen vermoord worden aangetroffen in het nabijgelegen bos. Nu het dorp de beruchte Winterheks vermoedt, moet Ingrid samen met dochter Eleanor en vervreemde grootmoeder Omi de waarheid ontdekken en de vloek van Frau Perchta voor eens en voor altijd stoppen.
