Sofia is de ster van het volleybalteam op haar middelbare school. Vlak voor een allesbepalende wedstrijd ontdekt ze dat ze zwanger is. Tijdens haar zoektocht naar de mogelijkheid voor een illegale abortus, wordt ze het doelwit van rechtse activisten die vrouwen en meisjes ervan weerhouden een abortus te ondergaan. Sofia bezwijkt niet onder de druk en haalt samen met teamgenoten kracht en steun uit hun onvoorwaardelijke vriendschap.
