Laura Price, een lokale nieuwsproducent in San Francisco, helpt de politie een seriemoordenaar op te sporen. Nadat de moordenaar dicht bij huis toeslaat, staat een lotsbestemming een "Groundhog Day" -type reset toe en Laura herbeleeft de week voorafgaand aan de reeks moorden. Kan ze het lot veranderen en de moordenaar stoppen?
