Op het hoogtepunt in 2004 had de videotheekfranchise Blockbuster meer dan 9000 winkels. Nu is het er nog maar eentje in de hele wereld. Die staat in Bend, Oregon. Eigenares Sandi Harding is de 'last one standing' en probeert haar zaak overeind te houden in een wereld van streaming en online film consumeren, vooral omdat ze weet dat haar zaak deel uitmaakt van een community.
Nee, helaas is The Last Blockbuster nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
