Met dit inventieve portret zoekt regisseur Kirsten Johnson naar een manier om haar 86-jarige vader voor altijd in leven te houden. Door gebruik te maken van filmmagie en de donkere humor van haar familie, viert ze de laatste jaren van Dr. Dick Johnson door fantasieën over de dood en verder op te voeren. Samen worden vader en dochter geconfronteerd met de grote onvermijdelijkheid die ons allemaal te wachten staat.
