Steve is een getalenteerde gymnast die niet meer meedoet aan competities en in plaats daarvan in de garage van zijn vader werkt. Als er een nieuw meisje, Julie genaamd, in het dorp verschijnt om te trainen, raakt Steve door haar geïnspireerd de draad weer op te pakken. Terwijl het leven gewoon doorgaat en ze om moeten gaan met verschillende persoonlijke conflicten, bereiden ze zich beide voor op de Olympische voorrondes.
