Edith en Eddie zijn respectievelijk 96 en 95 jaar oud. Na tien jaar samen te zijn geweest, trouwen ze, en vormen daarmee het oudste interraciale echtpaar van Amerika. Hun liefdesverhaal wordt echter verstoord wanneer ze gescheiden dreigen te worden door een gerechtelijk bevel, dat stelt dat Edith bij haar dochter moet gaan inwonen.
