Tijdens een onderzoek naar mutatie van dieren, explodeert een laboratorium en ontsnapt het proefdier, half-cobra, half-ratelslang. Niet alleen is het dier buitengewoon groot, ook is het extra agressief gemaakt door de experimenten. In de nabijgelegen stad Fillmore worden niet veel later al de eerste sterfgevallen ten gevolge van slangenbeten gevonden.
Nee, helaas is King Cobra nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
