Documentaire over slaapverlamming, een slaapaandoening waarbij iemand de nacht doorbrengt in een halve staat van bewustzijn. Diegene die hier aan lijdt is zich bewust van de omgeving, maar niet in staat zichzelf te wekken. Sommigen hebben ook last van afgrijselijke hallucinaties. Wat door wetenschap verklaard zou moeten worden, wordt gecompliceerd doordat verschillende mensen met deze aandoening toch zeer vergelijkbare visioenen hebben.
Nee, helaas is The Nightmare nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
